The way points of this bicycle route:

SAANICH

Right onto Elk Lake Dr.

Left onto Royal Oak Dr.

Left onto Lochside Dr.

Intersection of Lochside Dr. & Cordova Bay Rd. Stay on Lochside Dr. Matticks Farm is on R/H/S recognizable by the red building. Watch for signs for the Lochside Trail and use trail to reach Sidney. Trail is well marked all the way.

Lochside Trail utilizes public roads on many sections with 30km/h speed zones. It also has a variety of well packed road surfaces. Please follow signs directing right-of-ways, as it is a multi-use trail.

Tulista Park is a beautiful rest stop with public facillities.

Lockside Dr. continues straight and becomes 5th St.

Left onto Amelia Ave.

Right onto Resthaven Dr.

Right onto McDonald Park Rd.

Right onto Hwy 17 following signs for BC Ferries Swartz Bay.

SWARTZ BAY

Depart Swartz Bay BC Ferry terminal for Tsawwassen. Crossing time is approx. 1 hour 35 min.

TSAWWASSEN

Arrive Tsawwassen BC Ferries Terminal.

Take a left on 52 st.

Right on 28 Ave. Watch for an immediate left coming up.

Left on 53 St.

Turns into Arthur Dr.

Right on 44 Ave

Go left by Delta Hospital. This is now Harvest Drive.

Right on Ladner Trunk Road. There is traffic on this part so take care. Ride straight.

Left on 64 st

At the highway look to your left and you will see a place where you can go under it.

Make sure you are back on 64 st after crossing.

Right on 60 Ave.

Left on 68 St.

Go across River Rd here onto McDonald

Right on Tilbury.

Right on Hopcott Rd.

Left on River Rd. and keep on going. There may be some trucks on weekdays so stay straight.

DELTA

Approaching the Alex Fraser Bridge. Take a right on Nordel Way.

Take a Left on Swenson at the first signal.

Bear right on Swenson at the gate.

Left on Nordel Crt.

Bear right through the parking lot of Great Pacific Forum.

The bridge entrance is just by the Planet Ice sign. You have to cross a small piece of dirt and grass to get to it. (ASSIST HANDCYCLISTS).

Welcome to the Alex Fraser Bridge. You will be on the side walk. Hope it's not too windy.

ANNACIS ISLAND

The side walk will take you to the right. You have no choice.

Cross the bridge exit lane to the sidewalk

Go left on the sidewalk.

Cross in the crosswalk at the light. Go straight across Cliveden Ave.

Cross the merge lane over to the bikepath on the north side of the road. This will take you to the next part of the bridge.

You will enter the sidewalk of the second part of the Alex Fraser Bridge.

RICHMOND

You must go down the pedestrian path on the right. Ride to the bottom.

Take a sharp right at the bottom of the bike/pedestrian overpass and follow the bikepath.

Merge right onto the street for a short distance.

Take a left at a gate to the pedestrian bridge.

Take a hard U-turn left at the bottom of the bridge. Don't go straight.

Take a left on Westminster Highway.

Take a right on River Road. You have a ways to go on this road so take in the scenery.

Take a left on No. 6 Rd.

Take a right on Vulcan Way. Follow it to No. 5 Road.

Take a right on No. 5 Rd.

Take a left on River Rd.

Take a left on Shell Rd

Take a right on River Drive.

Take a left on No. 3 Road.

Take a right on Bridgeport Rd.

Go over the bridge. There is a good shoulder.

Stay to the right and start looking for the entrance to the bike lane.

Take this break in the safety wall. It is the bike path to the next bridge. It is a hard right.

Take a left on the bike lane after you go through the wall (do not go right onto lower bike path). Straight ahead is the entrance to the Arthur Lang Bridge.

Go right onto the shoulder of the main road and onto the bridge.

Stay right toward Granville St.

VANCOUVER

You have to cross a lane of traffic here and move toward the curb lane and the sidewalk. USE EXTREME CAUTION.

Get up on the sidewalk at the Chevron Station and cross Granville at the signal to get to SW Marine Dr. USE EXTREME CAUTION.

Stay right onto SW Marine Drive. It is easy from here.

Cross W. 70th Ave. straight to Cornish St. From here keep your eyes on bike route signs.

Left on W 68th Ave.

Right on Adera St.

Left on W. 64th Ave

Right on East Blvd.

Turns to Angus Dr. Gentle ascent into Vancouver.

Cross W. 49th Ave.

Take a right on W. 37th. Ave. This is also a bike route.

Take a left on Heather St. This is also a bike route.

Take a left at W. 27th Ave.
