The way points of this bicycle route:
Start at Centre St and Comm Ave in Newton Centre. Head West on Comm Ave all the way to the Route 128
Be careful on the busy bridge over Route 128.
Turn right on River Road marked to Mass Pike and then immediately left on Loring Road.
Turn Left on Loring Road
Turn left on Meadowbrook Road, marked as private but fine for bikes
Turn Right on School Street.
Go straight at traffic lights but be careful, you are crossing Route 20.
Turn left at end of School Street and veer around to right onto Church street.
Turn left on Conant Road
Conant Road crosses Route 117 - Be careful!
Stay left on Conant Road (do NOT go right on Old Country Road)
At the end of Conant Road turn Right on Weston Road
Turn Left onto Weston Road
Stop at the five-way stop, and then go straight ahead onto Sandy Pond Road. You actually have to jigger to the right around the small traffic island. Sandy Pond Road is in front of you, signposted to De Cordova Museum.
Pass De Cordova Museum entrance on right.
Turn left on Baker Bridge Road
At end of Baker Bridge Road turn Left on Concord Road. This is Route 126.
Concord Road / Route 126 crosses Route 117 at the lights. Be careful.
Turn Left on Glezen Lane. This is marked as a dangerous intersection - Be Careful!
Glezen Lane becomes Sudbury Road - just keep going straight.
Sudbury Road becomes Concord Road near here - just keep going straight.
Pass Campion Center on left.
Turn left onto Boston Post Road. Slightly heavier traffic on this stretch.
Turn right at School Street.
Go straight at lights crossing at Route 20. Busy - be careful!
Stay straight as Wellesley Street merges from left. Be ready to stay left ahead.
Bear left onto Ash Street. You have right of way, but be careful.
Stay straight / left onto Newton Street.
At end of Newton Street turn left onto Route 30 at lights - be careful! Be ready to turn right at immediate next lights.
Turn right at lights onto Park Road over Mass Pike.
At lights at end of Concord Street turn left onto Route 16 / Washington Street. This is a busy section be careful.
Stay in right hand land as you cross the bridge over Route 128, but be ready to move to the left on the other side so as not to enter the highway.
Make sure you stay straight here (do not enter highway on right).
Watch for cars coming off highway ramp on your right.
Turn right onto Beacon Street at lights before hospital. Short tough hill in front of you at the start of Beacon Street.
If you want to go back to the start turn left here on Centre Street. Otherwise go one more block and look for ice cream shops at the bottom of the municipal parking lots.
