Hey, I live in Winston Hills and ride with my son to Parramatta pool on staurday mornings in summer. Anyway, a few shortcuts ...
    1. RIght at the start ... Arthur Street will cross the M2 Motorway ... no need to go all the way down to cropley drive which is hilly and often busy.
    2. Redbank road near the hospital. I always take a left at the bridge on Redbank and head into cumberland hospital ... no one seems to care if you ride quietly through their grounds ... Ive seen security guards and none have ever stopped me. This comes out on Hainsworth just up from Parramatta park.
  1.
Try a right at end of Redbank and enter Westmead Hospital, a left at the end of this road will lead to Hawkesbury Rd thence Caroline St to Parramatta park. Better still right at the intersection of James Ruse Drive and Redbank Rd (Path) and along Briens Rd to the new T_Way cycle path past the hospitals. et to be completed path along Caroline St.

The T-Way bike path along Old Windsor Rd just stops at Oaks Rd ... does anyone know if there are plans to continue it further towards Parramatta ??
  2.
from Oaks Rd continue up the hill to Hammers Rd. Here you begin the missing link! RTA and Parramatta Council are still argueing where put the join between here and Cumberland Highway. There are two alternatives at present. Cross at the lights at Hammers Rd and Right to Sherwood St enter Forest (Fletcher) Close and at its end there is a pathway (begins and ends with concrete but grass in middle) which leads under Old Windsor Rd to the new footbridge over Toongabbie Creek and Briens Rd Station, where the cycleway is well marked to Westmead. The end of this pathway has steps or a steep rise to the cycleway. An alternative at present recommended by the RTA is At The path end at Hammers Station enter Ferndale Close, cross Cumberland Highway at the lights to Harris Rd, right into Manuka St left to Chetwyn Place. Bikepath to Mayfield St left at Briens Rd (50K road but busy) in 300m you're back on the T_Way bikeway to Westmead H, station or Parramatta Park.

Does anyone know if the T-Way cycle path continues all the way into Parramatta?
